I TIED MY LIFE WITH YOU-
      (THROUGH MY TUNES)

আমি তোমার সঙ্গে বেঁধেছি আমার প্রাণ-
Only with you , I have tied up my life and soul,
 সুরের বাঁধনে—
With tying-cords of my of musical tunes;
তুমি জান না,.. তুমি জান না,
You never know, you will never know-,

আমি তোমারে পেয়েছি…. অজানা সাধনে||
 I have got you, in that unknown devoted drive.



সে সাধনায় মিশিয়া যায় বকুলগন্ধ,
In that devoted act, mingled are the Bakula*-fragrance,;


সে সাধনায় মিলিয়া যায় কবির ছন্দ-;
In that act, mingled are the poetic rhythmic-essence;
- তুমি জান না, তুমি জান না,
You never know, you will never know, onwards;

ঢেকে রেখেছি তোমার নাম,
As  I kept your name hidden under,
                          রঙিন ছায়ার আচ্ছাদনে॥
The covers of the colorful shadows, of mystic words.


তোমার অরূপ মূর্তিখানি ,
Your formless image, I often bring ,
ফাল্গুনের আলোতে বসাই আনি।?
I implant in the delighful light of Sping.


বাঁশরি বাজাই ললিত-বসন্তে,
When I play my flute in Lalit-Basanta* tunes,
সুদূর দিগন্তে….
Releasing that in the ethers of the distant skies,

সোনার আভায় কাঁপে তব উত্তরী,
A golden shade seems to shiver your shoulder’s sleeves,
 গানের তানের সে উন্মাদনে॥
By the insane spirit of my tunes, when to you,  traverses .
