যদি     দূরে যাই চলে। 
If       I go away a far
যদি     পুরাতন প্রেম ঢাকা পড়ে যায় নবপ্রেমজালে। 
If under a slab of new love, our old one gets buried up,
[Still do remember me]

যদি     থাকি কাছাকাছি  ,
Even if I  do stay near by, 
দেখিতে না পাও , ছায়ার মতন আছি না আছি-
And can't see me, like a fade shadow, that exists or not;
তবু  মনে  রেখো। ২
  Still do remember me.

যদি      জল আসে আঁখিপাতে ,
 If ever, tears appear, in your eyes,
এক দিন যদি খেলা থেমে  যায় মধুরাতে ,
If in a night of Spring, your pleasure plays stop 
এক দিন যদি বাধা পড়ে কাজে, শারদ প্রাতে -
If in a Autumn morning, you feel detested to work, 
তবু মনে রেখো। ৩
Then you remember me .

যদি      পড়িয়া  মনে 
If by remembering me, 
ছলোছলো জল নাই দেখা দেয় নয়নকোণে -
Drops of tears no more appear, in the corner of your eyes,
